The Investigations Group at Doar Rieck Kaley & Mack is a team of independent professionals working with our legal staff to evaluate, investigate and advise with respect to allegations of fraud, misconduct, and regulatory non-compliance. Our investigative staff consists of experienced forensic accountants and investigators with a substantial background in law enforcement, including former members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the New York City Police Department and the New York State Organized Crime Task Force. We retain a chief investigator in-house who participates in and coordinates all investigative projects.

United States v. Gigante 96 cr. 466 (JSR) (S.D.N.Y.)

Based on extensive experience prosecuting organized crime cases, managing partner Walter Mack was appointed as Monitor for six defendants and thirteen companies engaged in the waste disposal business who faced pending indictments for RICO and anti-trust violations. Mr. Mack and Amy Rothstein monitored the defendants to prevent additional unlawful conduct and the loss of corporate assets. Assisted by a team of our investigators and private auditors, our attorneys worked to address questionable activities and to develop a code of ethics for the companies.
